“I am a former CPS patient and I was so worried about finding another facility that could treat my pain when they shut down. My PCP referred me to MidSouth and thank God she did! I wish I had known about them a long time ago! The whole staff was very nice and professional, and Ouida Wikes listened to my problems and concerns and we discussed a plan to manage my pain. She seemed genuinely concerned and took the time to explain everything and not once seemed like she was in a hurry. So, I went for my first nerve block in my neck for spinal stenosis at their Germantown office and Dr. Steuer was great! He too, took his time to explain what he was about to do. He could tell that I was nervous because they were doing it from the front instead of the back of the neck which is the way CPS always did it. The only thing the doc at CPS would say to me is “” it’s gonna be a little stick”” right before he put the needle in. And his nerve blocks didn’t even help much. Dr. Steuer had looked at my MRI that was sent to him so he knew exactly where to put the needle and I could tell soon after that it was the right spot. He even checked on me when I was in the recovery area to see how I was doing. It turned out to be a very pleasurable experience. We even joked about our ages because he was listening to a classic rock radio station. I applaud Dr.Steuer, Ouida Wikes and the whole staff for their kindness, concern, and professionalism, and for making me feel like I am important.
It would be nice if they could do nerve blocks in their Jackson office, but even so, the trip to Germantown was well worth it!”
